It’s hard these days to find a practice or doctors who are truly dedicated to their patients. Dr. Garras along with his MOC colleagues provide exceptional patient care where you as a patient come first. Dr. Garras truly takes his time and listens to your concerns without rushing you because your time is up. Although it may be frustrating to other patients, I value that the doctor doesn’t treat me as a costumer but rather a real human being with a concern. Dr. Garras is a compassionate, understanding doctor with exceptional surgical skills and I am grateful for that doctors like this still exist.

I am not going to badmouth the doctor because as a fellow healthcare practitioner, that can be damaging. But I am pretty angry. I had my follow up visit scheduled to see the foot and ankle surgeon since August. My afternoon was booked solid with appointments today. I drove over half an hour from my last appointment to get to this appointment 12 minutes early and was taken into the consult room. After waiting over 20 minutes, a PA walked in. I was not scheduled to see a PA- I was scheduled to see the doctor. But I was willing to see her. Within 5 minutes, she excused herself and walked out. I didn’t even get examined. I waited another 20 minutes and nobody came in. My next appointment was over an hour and a half away so I had to leave without being seen. I am also having pain almost 6 months out from my procedure and I didn’t get to see the doctor. That is disrespectful to the patient who came on time. I am a veterinarian. I respect my clients time. I expect my physicians to do the same. It’s just rude. I don’t think I will be returning.

I was a patient at Midwest around 20 years ago. I had 2 surgeries performed on my knee with a good outcome. I'm now having trouble with my knee, as well as my shoulders. I just made 2 appointments with Dr Redondo and Dr Leonard and immediately canceled them because I was told that they wouldn't treat me without a credit card on file. I would really like to be treated by Midwest, but I'm not about to give them my debit card information to keep on file. I see a few other doctors and this hasn't been an issue with any of them. I'm a little upset that it is an issue with Midwest.

The consultation with my doctor went well but felt a bit rushed. I understand that he was running very late do to an emergency surgery he performed. I believe that the office staff should convey to the patient at check in that the doctor is running extremely late and just sitting there waiting and waiting more. An informed patient won't necessarily become a disgruntled patient when they are informed not just left wondering.
